City of Omaha row process update

by Tim Phelan & Autumn Evans

Autumn Evans is a Right-of-way Agent for the City of Omaha’s Public Works Department. She is responsible for the acquisition of land rights associated with transportation, sewer and public improvement projects throughout Omaha.

Autumn is going to provide an informative presentation about the City of Omaha’s right-of-way process to include tips for streamlining and minimizing schedule impacts.

Autumn began her career in the right-of-way field in 2010, after she earned her degree from UNO with a B.S. in Real Estate Land Use Economics.  Prior to her position at the City of Omaha, she worked as a Right-of-way Agent for Midwest Right-of-Way Services (2010-2012). She served as Sergeant in the 443rd Transportation Unit in the U.S. Army Reserve (2004-2012) while also spending time touring the country and competing on the U.S. Army boxing team while aiming for a spot on 2012 U.S. Olympic boxing team.

Autumn volunteer’s with the International Right-of-way Association’s Young Professionals group (IRWA) and is an advocate for young professionals entering into the field of right-of-way. She enjoys spending time with her husband Joe and engaging in construction projects. They recently built their dream home together in their spare time.  Autumn is also a boxing coach and mentor striving to offer the youth an alternative to the streets through the art of boxing.
