Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC)

The object of this research, sponsored by Nebraska Department of Transportation, is to develop an economical non-proprietary UHPC mix(es) with locally available materials for bridge applications in Nebraska. To develop this concrete, different local materials are mixed and tested. The successful mix will meet the UHPC characteristics and necessary workability, constructability, durability requirements. Flavia will present some fundamentals about concrete and ultra-high performance concrete. She will also present some challenges faced on the research.
Flavia is a civil engineering student, and is earning her MS degree in materials of construction with a focus on concrete at UNL.
