39th Avenue Greenway Project

Presented by: Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU)

This meeting will be virtual via Zoom. Log-In information will be sent approximately 2 hours prior to the start of the meeting!

The 39th Avenue Greenway project was a vital component of Denver’s Platte to Park Hill program to reduce flood risk, improve water quality, and upgrade the resiliency of the city’s infrastructure while making important investments into community amenities. This presentation will provide an overview of the design and construction of a linear greenway, which collects and conveys stormwater to the South Platte River, incorporating park and open space, landscaping, community connectivity, utility relocations, and water quality enhancements. This project transformed an abandoned railroad spur into a community amenity which doubles as stormwater conveyance.
